Dixie Pearl Bentley, 90, of Albion, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Fort Smith. She was born Sept. 11, 1912 at Minter, Texas to Perry Corbin and Nanny Whitt-Corbin. She was married to Roger William Bentley in January 1936 in Antlers. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and she will be missed. On Sept. 11, 1980 she was blessed with a very special birthday gift, a grandson James Thomas Dighton. She was a member of the Albion Baptist Church and lived in the Albion area most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister; two brothers; one grandson; and one granddaughter.

Survivors include four daughters, Willie Stevens of Wilburton, Betty Nunley of Albion, Mary Lou Duncan of Tuskahoma, and Mary Jane McIntyre of Clayton; one son, Roger Bentley of Albion; 31 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Talihina Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Bray officiating. Burial followed in Albion Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were John Walker, Leonard Godsby, Steve McIntyre, Joseph Duncan, Daniel Duncan and Matthew Duncan.

Honorary pallbearers were Eddy McIntosh, Mark McIntosh, Buddy Reamy, Donnie Corbin, Thomas Nunley, John Duncan and Oddis McIntyre.
