Orville Benson, 82, of Heavener, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2002, in
Fort Smith. He was a longtime resident of Heavener and a member of the
Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Vernice; and two brothers,
Cameron and Clarence. Survivors include one daughter, Martha Lemmons and
husband Jimmie of Heavener; one son, Raymond of Heavener; one sister,
Dena Stacy of Shady Point; four brothers, Delmer, J.C., D.B. and James,
all of Heavener; one granddaughter, Tracie Lemmons of Heavener; several
nieces and seven nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7 at First Assembly of
God in Heavener. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Heavener
under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
