Neal Ashby
OCTAVIA — Neal Fleming Ashby, 78, of Octavia died Thursday, March 16,
2000, at his residence. He was a rancher and a Navy veteran of World
War II. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Assembly of God
in Smithville, Okla.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God in Smithville
with burial at Octavia Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller
Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Bell Ashby; one daughter, Susan
Parker of Poteau; four sons, David of Tulsa, John of Memphis, Tenn.,
Ben and Toby, both of Wilburton; one sister, Mary Anderson of Choctaw;
and five grandchildren.
