Kelly Michelle Brannon Johnston passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2003, in Mississippi from injuries suffered in a car accident. Kelly was born Feb. 19, 1966 in Fort Smith, Ark. and grew up in Fanshawe. She attended high school in LeFlore and played basketball at Carl Albert Junior College. She was a very artistic person and had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by her family. Her mother, Helen Carney Brannon and her grandparents, Ellis and Notie Brannon preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband Richard Johnston and children, Kameron, Chelsea and Travis, all of Brookhaven, Miss.; her father, John Brannon of Tulsa; one sister, Sonia Holland of Houston, Texas; one brother, Mike Brannon of Fanshawe; and her grandmother, Lizzie Carney of Fanshawe. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
