Frank K. Gentry, 69, was born April 29, 1933, in Spiro to Bryan and Ressie Keithley Gentry. He passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, after a lengthy illness. Frank worked for Kansas City Southern Railroad for approximately 18 years, and then as a power foreman for the Ralston-Purina Company for 21 years. He was a member of the Bethany Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Ressie Gentry and a sister, Mamie Sue Harrison.

He is survived by his wife, Madge; children, Debra Wilson of Tulsa, Pamela Gentry, Sheila Harris and Frank K. Gentry Jr., all of Oklahoma City; sisters and brothers, Loretta Sullins of Spiro, Diana Bauske of Dallas, John Gentry of Marshfield, Mo., Ken Gentry of Lawrence, Kan. and Fred Gentry of Dallas; five grandchildren, Dustin, Chris, Brandon, Dillion and Trevor.

"Pa" as many know him, was a great grandfather. He spent many of his days fishing and coaching his grandchildren in little league baseball and football. He also loved his OU Sooners. He was Sooner born and Sooner bred and now he’s gone, he’s Sooner dead. Services will be held 10 a.m. today at Mercer-Adams Funeral Chapel in Bethany, Okla. with interment at 3:30 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro.
