Rachel Alice Doshier, 80, of Shady Point, passed away Friday, May 30, 2003, in Poteau. She was born Oct. 21, 1922 at McCurtain. She was a member of the Wister Church of God Seventh Day. She married Clyde Bud Doshier at the age of 18 on Nov. 4, 1940. She worked at Wal-Mart after her girls were grown until her retirement at the age of 70. She then worked as a volunteer at the hospital. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years; her parents, Hess and Emma (Deason) Farmer.

Survivors include her children, Phyllis and Gerald Maxwell and Cathy Cooper, all of Shady Point and Sharon and Tommy Johnson of Panama; five grandchildren, Toby Johnson, Kim Staggenborg, Jeff Cooper, Chad Cooper and Rayshelle Good; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and many beloved friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at Evans Chapel of Memories with Bro. Steve Hughes and the Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Point Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

Pallbearers will be Toby Johnson, Jeff Cooper, Chad Cooper, Tim Staggenborg, Jamie Good and B.T. Cooper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Buchannan, B.J. Barnes and Lamar Ford.
