Dora Dorey, 81, of Poteau, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2003. She was
born Sept. 19, 1921. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Free Will
Baptist Church in Poteau and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Adel (Lindsey) White;
one son, Don Dorey; one brother, George White; and one sister,
Christine.
Survivors include her husband, Thurman Dorey of the home; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Larry and Kacey Dorey of Woodland Hills, Calif. and
James and Sharon Dorey of Poteau; three grandchildren, Mark Dorey,
Natalie Newby and John Dorey; three grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved
ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 11 at Evans Chapel of
Memories in Poteau with the Revs. Jimmy D. Cook and William Burgess
officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland
Cemetery at Poteau under the
direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Randell Newby, Jack Broyles, Jesse Broyles, Mike
Dorey, Hank Collins and J.C. Midgley.
