Edris I. (Nixon) Dell, 70, of Spiro, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Fort Smith. She was born March 6, 1932 at Huntington, Ark. to Elcie Bell and Ida Ellen (Gross) Nixon. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ruby Hearn; one brother, Elmer Nixon; and a special nephew, Michael Nixon.

Survivors include her husband Olen "Pete" Dell of the home; two sisters, Bernice Golyar of Battle Creek, Mich. and Margie McCartney of Monticello, Ark.; two brothers, Alfred Nixon of Greenwood, Ark. and Lester Nixon of Huntington, Ark.; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 at the Temple Baptist Church in Fort Smith with the Revs. Ron Toon and Elton Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
