Betty Craig, 76, of Spiro, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2003 at Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Nov. 16, 1926 at Tulsa to Lawrence and Jane Inez (Bateman) Schoeppey. She is loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Ada Schoeppey; her husband, Erie Lee Craig; two brothers, David and Albert Schoeppey; and one stepbrother, Gene Burks.

Survivors include three daughters, Pat Martin of Ozone, Ark., Toni Davis and Betty Ritter, both of Spiro; two sons, Larry Wayne Craig and Erie Dale Craig of Tucker; one sister, Nell Mathews of Spiro; one half-sister, Jo Anne Eames of Fort Smith; one stepsister, Christine Richardson of Spiro; one brother, Don Schoeppey of Pocola; and one step brother, Henry Burks of Fort Smith; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10 at the Harvest Hill Assembly of God with the Revs. O.M. Wilson and Don Steele officiating, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
