Jack Brewer 

HEAVENER - Jack E. Brewer, 73, of Heavener died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, in Fort Smith. He retired as postmaster from the post office in Heavener and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the First National Bank of Heavener. 

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday in Dowden Funeral Home Chapel of Heavener with burial at Memorial Park in Heavener. 

He is survived by his wife, Lynda; one daughter, Dana Scott of Heavener; one son, Tim of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sisters, Mary Ann Zimmerman and Betty Hamer, both of Tulsa; three brothers, Oren of Coweta, Okla., Jerry of Broken Arrow and Bill of Bartlesville, Okla.; and one grandson, Jeremy Scott of Norman, Okla.


Lynda Brewer, 78, of Heavener, passed away Friday, July 18, 2003, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was a lifetime resident of Heavener and a member of the Heavener First Baptist Church, the church choir and the Ladies Mission Group.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack; one sister, Reba Emmert; and one brother, Leland Harrell.

Survivors include one daughter, Dana Scott and husband Don of Heavener; one son, Tim Brewer and wife Mona of Broken Arrow; one sister, Willa Meeh of Heavener; two grandchildren, Jeremy Scott of Norman and Courtney Johnson of Tulsa; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 21 at the First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
