Rites Sunday for Charles Binns

Charles Binns, 40, a long-time resident of Kellyville, was buried Sunday at Idabel. He died Friday in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital of injuries sustained December 1 in an automobile accident.

The son of Mrs. Alma Binns, Kellyville postmaster, Binns was a graduate of Kellyville High School and Oklahoma State University. He was employed as LeFlore County sanitarian, and earlier had held the same position in Idabel. A veteran of World War I, he was a captain in the National Guard and a 32nd degree Mason.

Surviving besides the mother are the widow, Odell of the home at Poteau; a son, Michael and a daughter, Cathie of Poteau; a stepson, Dr. Jimmy Citty, El Paso, Texas; a step daughter, Sylvia Citty, Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, J. O. Binns, Amarillo, Tex.; five sisters, Mrs. Keith Smith of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Kirk Lewis and Mrs. Bill McAnulty of Tulsa, Mrs. Jack Nitz of Jenks and Mrs. O. D. Blue of Joplin, MO; one step grandchild.
