Erma Beshears

BONANZA — Erma Lee Beshears, 71, of Bonanza died Sunday, April 20, 2003, in a local hospital. She was born June 18, 1931, in Dayton. She was a homemaker, a member of North 50th Street Church of Christ, a former bus driver for St. John’s Senior Citizens and a former volunteer for Project Compassion and served on the Sebastian County Election Board.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; a daughter, Patti Anderson of Fort Smith; a son, Dan Beshears of Fort Smith; a sister, Freda Kingery of Greenwood; two brothers, James Owens of Greenwood and Wayne Owens of Mansfield; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dan, Brandon, Caleb and Casey Beshears, James Owens and James Anderson.

The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to North 50th Street Church of Christ, 1923 N. 50th St., Fort Smith, AR 72904.
