Robert Bruce Beck, 73, of Summerfield, formerly of Owasso, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2003, in Poteau. He was born Feb. 15, 1930 at Chanute, Kan. He was the fourth of seven children. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Owasso United Methodist Church, the Independent Order of Foresters and a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the Owasso Lodge. He retired from the grocery business in 1974 and traveled throughout the USA with his wife Joyce.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Loyd of Summerfield and Nancy Conrad of Las Vegas, Nev.; one son, Steven Beck of Harrisburg, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Jason McGee of Cameron, Regina Loyd of Summerfield, Eugene Loyd of Fort Smith, Mariah Conrad of Las Vegas, Christopher Garrett and Brandon Garrett, both of Tahlequah, and Stephanie, Steven and Scotty Beck, all of Harrisburg, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, Kaceana, Kaleb and Kolby McGee of Cameron and Jordan Loyd of Cameron; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 3, at Summerfield Cemetery with Tracy Loyd officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

Honorary pallbearers were Jason McGee, Stanley Loyd, Christopher Garrett, Brandon Garrett, Kaleb McGee and Kolby McGee.
