Michael Hosea Austin, 59, of Tulsa, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003. He was a 1962 graduate of LeFlore High School, attended Northeastern State University, was a retired firefighter with the Tulsa Fire Department, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of the International Order of Firefighters, Tulsa Local Firefighters Union No. 176, Summerfield Baptist Church, National Rifle Association and the Oil Capital Rod and Gun Club. He was preceded in death by his parents Hosea and Daphne Austin. Survivors include his wife Pamela. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 at the First United Methodist Church of Heavener. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
