Steve Douglas Anderson, 57, Cameron, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2003. He was born July 23, 1945, in Fort Smith, Ark. to Amos and Johnnie (Cagle) Anderson. He married Margaret Prescott on Aug. 18, 1965 in Stilwell. Steve and Margaret have resided in the community for 18 years. He worked as a laborer and had retired from Whirlpool.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Tammy Wright of Poteau and Tresia Bollinger of Cameron; three sisters, Ruby Autry of Fresno, Calif., Martha Wilson of Wylie, Texas and Marlene Neal of Garland, Texas; two brothers, Gene Anderson of Bartlesville and Dewayne Anderson of Muldrow; two granddaughters, Blaze Lingo of Cameron and Tiffini Henson of Poteau; four grandsons, Joshua and Hayden Bryant of Cameron, Trevin Wright of Winnsboro, Texas and Earl Henson of Poteau; and a host of other loved ones and friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau with the Rev. Dewayne Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Fair Hill Cemetery in Cameron under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
