Renshaw-Washburn

Miss Catherine Elizabeth Renshaw and Mr. Clarence Howard Washburn, popular and well known Hennessey young people were wed Sunday afternoon. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. And Mrs. G.L. Renshaw at 3 o'clock, Elder Wm. L.E. Shane officiating. Besides immediate relatives guests included the Misses Goldie Washburn and Helen Renshaw, Sada Stalder and Allan Clark.

Refreshments were served following the ceremony and attendant congratulations.

To evade a determined crowd of friends who awaited the arrival of the bride and groom at the local depot, they were conveyed to Dover overland by motor, where they expected to "flag" and board the southbound Rock Island passenger for Chandler.

The bride is a graduate of Hennessey High School completing with the class of '23, and is a thoroughly charming girl with a wide circle of friends. The groom is a son of Mr. J.W. Washburn, well known resident of this vicinity, and has a wide acquaintance and many friends here who will extend their sincere well wishes and congratulations.

They will make their home in Chandler, where Mr. Washburn has an excellent position.

THE GRIMES-KREITZER WEDDING.

The social event of the week was the marriage of Miss Flo GRIMES, daughter of Wm. GRIMES Esq., and Mr. Dorsey KREITZER, of Dayton, Ohio, at noon on Christmas day. Rev. J. H. PARKER was the officiating clergyman. The marriage took place in the presence of the bride's family and Mr. and Mrs. J. C. ROBB, at the family residence on South Seventh street. The rooms were profusely decorated with holly and conservatory plants. The bride was handsomely gowned, as befitted her station and the groom was in conventional dress. An afternoon reception was held from 3 to 4 o'clock, to which members of the Kingfisher Bar and a few other gentlemen friends were invited. This was complimentary to Mr. KREITZER, who is an honored member of the legal profession.

Next succeeding the presentation of attorneys came married people, with here and there a few who had escaped matrimonial honors, yet were eligible by reason of age. The evening was reserved for young people and the rooms were occupied to their full capacity.

Many beautiful presents were received by the bride from her family, the groom and friends.

Elegant refreshments were served in the dining room.

Mr. and Mrs. KREITZER left for Dayton, Oh., Tuesday afternoon where they will make their future home.
