OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this organization is to collect and distribute information of a genealogical nature, to help others gather genealogical information, to encourage accuracy and completeness in research and documentation, and to issue publications.

MEETINGS: Regular meetings are held monthly with the exception of the summer months (June, July & August) on the second Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Slaner Room (downstairs) in the Jane Phelan Public Library. Programs include speakers who have knowledge in various areas of research.

MEMBERSHIP and DUES: Dues are $15 per calendar year which includes a subscription to the quarterly newsletter. The lifetime membership fee is $120 and a spouse may be added for $20.

The society accepts monetary gifts to help support the needs of its many operations. For information and to make contributions contact the society at P.O. Box 191, Hobart, OK 73651-0191. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

To become a member of the society, send your name and address with your check for $15 to the above address. You will receive four regular newsletter issues each calendar year (February, May, August & November).

If you know of Kiowa County, Oklahoma records (in homes, churches, clubs, funeral homes, businesses, etc.) that should be preserved, please give us the location and contact person, if known.

And if you know the names of pioneer families or elderly people who might allow an oral interview on tape, giving insight to early settlement, please let us know.
