Veterans Buried at Spring Chapel Cemetery

From Oklahoma Genealogical Society Quarterly Vol. 11, No. 2 (For) June 1966

Transcribed to Electronic form by Jo White

Located south of Hugo, Choctaw Co., Oklahoma.  Contributed by Carrel T. (Tony) Thomas, who can furnish exact information on the location of this cemetery.

Notes from Mr. Thomas:

1.      There are many veterans’ graves not marked as such and one must contact the relatives and descendants to learn they are veterans.

2.      In Southeastern Oklahoma there are many graves of persons who “represent the War of 1812; The Texas Independence, 1836; and the War with Mexico.  I wish they could be compiled.”
