Jesse Bird was born 4 March 1875 in Gainesville, Cook Co.,
Texas. He was the son of George and
Elizabeth (Gossett) Bird. He graduated
from Louisville, Kentucky Medical School in 1896. In Ada, Indian Territory (Oklahoma), on 30 September 1906, he
married Grace Dell Leibert (1888-1956), daughter of Benjamin Franklin Leibert
and Louisiana Finley. They established
a home in Tupelo, Indian Territory, moving to Cement, Oklahoma in 1907, to
Oklahoma City in 1924, to Calumet, Oklahoma, in 1926, to Eldorado, Oklahoma in
1929, then back to Oklahoma City in 1936.
He died 9th December 1941 in Oklahoma City.

George Yell Bird, father of Jesse Bird, was born 15 November 1829,
Henderson Co., Tennessee. He was the
son of David Bird and Catherine (Priddy) Bird.
He married 1st 28 November 1851, Lucetla McCall, who died 25
February 1855; 2nd 5 November 1857 Elizabeth M. Gossett (1 Feb.
1840-1887), daughter of Tillman R. and Caroline M. (Pleasants) Gossett; 3rd
widow, (Deitz) Parson. He died 4th
November 1906 in Gainesville, Cook Co., Texas.

David Bird, father of George Yell Bird, was born 7th
October 1788 in Orange Co., North Carolina.
He was the son of Thomas Bird and Anna _____ Bird. He married 1st 3 June 1813, in
Halifax Co., Virginia, Catherine Priddy, daughter of Thomas Priddy and Mary
(Snead) Priddy; 2nd Rebecca.
He moved to Henderson Co., Tennessee in 1825 and established a home five
miles east of Lexington, Tennessee. He
died 29th January 1859.

Thomas Bird, father of David Bird, was born 19th October
1755 in Pennsylvania. He was the son of
James and Mary (Ashford) Bird. He
married 1st on 14 Oct. 1784, Anna _____ (b. ca. 1765, d. 21 Mar.
1824) in Orange Co., North Carolina, and 2nd Nancy Hamilton on 23
December 1824 (no issue from this marriage).
He died 13 May 1835 in Orange Co., North Carolina.

James Bird, father of Thomas Bird, was born about 1717 in Delaware. He was the son of Thomas and Sarah (Empson) Bird. He married Mary Ashford in Wilmington, Delaware in 1745. He lived in Pennsylvania before moving to Orange Co., North Carolina between 1755 and 1758. He died in 1805.

Thomas Bird, father of James Bird, was born between 1679 and 1685. He married Sarah Empson, daughter of Cornelius and Mary Empson. He died November or December 1726 in Wilmington, Delaware.
