page torn from a Bible, was found by the OGS Editor in National Archives
pension file designation W25507, BLWT-10231-160-55, Revolutionary War.
Witnesses include Catherine Tyler and Joseph Kershner. Affidavits of Thos.
Tyler and Allen Cliftin in Hopeful Tyler’s possession were referenced but were
not in the file.
William Tyler b
at Attlebury, Bristol, Mass., moved to Cheshire, Mass; then to Newport, Herkimer,
N.Y. in 1804; he married at Windsor, Berkshire, Mass., Hopeful, a resident of
York, Livingston, N.Y. on 12 Oct 1850. Hopeful (or James H. Vail, J.P.) [my
ellipse added], was once a resident of Geneseo.
