| Up through part of the 1950's Lake Hellums was a favorite getaway for people to escape the heat. Kind of like an early water park. The smaller of the two larger lakes was for swimming. The held beauty pagents there. There was a train ride and picnic tables and shelters. Sometime in the late fifties or sixties it was bought and turned into a private park. |
