Pearl E. CollinThe graveside services for Pearl E. Collin, 96 year-old Enid resident, will be Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 3PM in the Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. Duane Roever will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Pearl was born March 22, 1915 in Knowles, Oklahoma to Clarence Cropper and Daisy (Fifer) Cropper and died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at her home in Enid. She moved with her family to Enid at the age of two. She attended local schools. Her first marriage was to Wallace E. Walker and they had two children, Joe and Leila.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. On November 11, 1967, Pearl married John M. Collin Jr., who preceded her in death in 2004.
She is survived by her daughter, Leila Cumpston of Enid; son, Lt. Co. Ret. W. Joe Walker and wife, Shirley of Austin, TX; step-daughter, Beth and Paul Pratt of Oklahoma City; step-son, Johnnie and Patty Collin of Enid; grandchildren, Chuck and Gloria Cumpston of Enid; Amy Cumpston also of Enid; Wally and Vicki Cumpston of Wichita, KS.; Paul and Jen Walker of Austin, TX.; Ken Walker of Shang-hi, China; Paige and Rob Ott of Austin, TX.; Keith and Crystal Walker of Corpus Christi, TX; one step-grandson, Chuck Collin and wife Shirley of Enid; one step-granddaughter, Shannon and husband James Findley of Arkansas and Shawn Pratt of Oklahoma City; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one sister, Irene and one brother Clarence V. Cropper and wife Mary Lou.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Bethany United Methodist Church.
