| Graveside services for Patsy Ruth Awtrey, 76 year-old Wolfforth, Texas resident, will be held 10:00am Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Pat went home to be with her heavenly Father on November 5, 2011 after a brave fight with cancer. She was born October 5, 1935 in Whitesboro, Texas to Clinton and Jessie Willis and had two brothers, Jay and Eugene. On August 7, 1951, she married Lonnie Awtrey. They had four children: James, Judith, Lydia and Mary. In 1973, Pat graduated with honors from South Plains College School of Nursing and spent many years caring for people in both private duty and nursing home care. Pat had a love for the outdoors with gardening and planting flowers. Pat is survived by three of her children: James Awtrey of Burleson, Texas; Judith Sisson of Wolfforth, Texas; Lydia Broyles of Lewisville, Texas; seven grandchildren: Lonnie, Adam, Travis, Sara, Ben, Taryn and Meaghan as well as two great-grandchildren: Saria and Dustin and her beloved cat, Furby. She will be greatly missed by her family but will forever live on in their hearts. |
