 Olin Lester Prentice was born July 22, 1923 in Aline, Oklahoma and was raised on a farm in the area. He was the son of Lowell and Lucy (Whiteneck) Prentice. Olin became a Christian at an early age. On July 18, 1948, Olin married Juanita Logsdon. Two children were born. Juanita died August 2, 1990. Then, on January 1, 1992, Olin married Marjorie Merkey Pendleton and she died May 18, 2009. Olin went to be with our Lord February 14, 2012. Olin is survived by his children, Merle Prentice and wife, Renee of Yukon; Marilyn Prentice Mathes of Midland, TX; Carol Pendleton Taylor of Tampa, FL and the late Gary Pendleton. Olin’s grandchildren are Kevin Mathes, Robert Mathes, Blake Prentice, Chip Taylor, Andy Brooke Taylor and Jenny Taylor. Olin is also survived by sister, Arlene Prentice Kiner of Aline and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Paul Syoen and Roxie Krewer for the love and care they provided to our Dad for many years. Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J. Randall Hackworth and Reverend Charles Newton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be given in Olin’s name through the funeral home to Community Church of the Plains. |
