 Funeral services for Meril Dupus, 76, of Enid, will be 10:00am Monday, March 21, 2011 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Al McVety officiating. Burial will be at Lions Club Cemetery North in Marshall, OK at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.Meril was born October 19, 1934 in Enid, OK to Art and Eunice (Day) Dupus and passed away March 17, 2011 after an extended illness at home, with family at his side. On August 19, 1972, he married Kay (Goins) Worrell. He loved to race stock cars and motorcycles during his younger years. Meril especially enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. He served as Mayor of Douglas and Governor of the Moose Lodge. His family would like to thank Dr. Richard Hromas and Hospice Circle of Love for their heart-felt compassion. Survivors include his wife, Kay; son, Steve Dupus and wife, Lynn of Chester; daughter, Brenda Brakage and husband, Don of Enid; grandson, Mark Patocka and wife, Melissa and their son Max of Tulsa; nine grandchildren and brother, Bobby Aker of Enid. Meril was preceded in death by his parents; one son and one grandson. Memorials may be given through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love or Emmanuel Baptist Church. |
