Mass of Christian Burial for Emma R. Pauline, 93 year-old Bison resident, will be 10:00am Thursday, November 17, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bison. Reverend Joseph Arledge to officiate. Burial will follow in Bison Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:00pm Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.
Emma was born March 24, 1918 on the farm east of Bison to Frank and Antonie (Petru) Vaverka and died Monday, November 14, 2011 at Greenbrier Nursing Home. She and her husband Walter Freeman made their home in Enid. She worked in Enid at the Raleigh Bicycle Company until it closed and also Bills Convenience store until it’s closing. She was also co-owner of Pauline’s Bait Shop.
She enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, parents, and two sons, Jim and Jerry. Also preceding her in death are two sisters, Teresa Maly and Lucille Dowell.
Emma is survived by her sister Adela Melton of Dover, Delaware; step-daughter, Twana Winters and husband, Robert of Enid; two grandsons, Terry Pauline and Tad Freeman as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
