Eleanor B. Riffel

The graveside services for Eleanor B. Riffel, 95 year-old Enid resident, will be Monday, May 2, 2011 at 10:00AM in the Enid Mennonite Brethrern Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Pastor Garvie Schmidt will officiate.
Eleanor was born October 1, 1915 in Enid to Abraham A. and Annie Frances (Vogt) Goertz and died Thursday, April 28, 2011 in Greenbrier Nursing Home. She attended local schools and graduated from German High School School near Kremlin. On November 1, 1936, she married Harley Milton Riffel in Enid. The couple made their home on the farm north of Enid. They moved to Enid in 1950. She was a pharmacy clerk at Bass hospital for 28 years.
She was a life-time member of Enid Mennonite Brethren Church.
She is survived by her daughter Joy Bradley, of the home; four grandchildren, Paul, Todd, Chrissy,Teri, and Amy; four great-grandchildren, Chandler, Randee, Lexie, and Kristopher; one brother, Mel Goertz, of San Jose, California and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley in 1972; her parents; two brothers; two sisters and a granddaughter, Kendra.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church, for either Church Camps or AWANA ministries. |
