 David Dale McVicker passed away at age 70 on January 4, 2012 at his home near Douglas, Oklahoma. Born in Douglas on January 13, 1941, he was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was the fifth child of eleven from Ernest and Opal (Clarke) McVicker. David graduated from Douglas High School in 1959. After graduation, he married his wife of 17 years, Mary Crocker, and together they had four girls. He loved being with his family, fishing and working with his hands. He was an artist both on paper and with woodwork. David is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Raymond; Jack; Donnie; Jerry; and two sisters, Betty and Mary Beth. He is survived by brother, Terry; sisters, Martha; Sharon; Geneva; daughters, Kay Kelly and Scott Redding; Barbara Poindexter and Chris; Dale Ann Redding and Mike Holt; Rachel Moore and Paul Owens; six grandchildren, Charlie Greer and Tyler; Jordan Poindexter; LaTriska Williams; Skyler Redding; Morgan Moore; Chrissy Woodruff as well as two great-grandchildren, Kaiden Greer and MaKyla Williams. The memorial service for David will be 2:00pm Monday, January 9, 2012 at Douglas Christian Church. Burial of his remains will follow in Douglas Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. The family would like to thank everyone for all their thoughts and prayers. It was truly a blessing during this difficult time.
