 The funeral for Cleo Faye Swartwood, 88 year-old Enid resident will be 2:00PM Thurday, January 12, 2012 in Bible Baptist Church. The Rev. Terry Chick will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Cleo was born September 2, 1923 in Danbury, Nebraska to Raymond W. and Marie H. (Johnson ) Yarnell and died Monday, January 9, 2012 in Greenbrier Nursing Home. She graduated from Hitchcock High School. On June 28, 1941 she married Clarence M. Swartwood and the couple made their home in Enid. She was a long-time member of Bible Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years. She was also an active choir member for 40 years. She also visited shut-ins for the church. She enjoyed gardening and keeping a lovely home. She is survived by her son, Sonny Swartwood of Gurden, Arkansas and daughter, Sheri Price of Rockwall, Texas, 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, one sister, Donna Shipley, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, one son, Jim Swartwood, granddaughters Twyla Swartwood and Deanna Price, one brother, Ray Yarnell, and one sister Doris Shipley. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to missionary Chris Hunter care of Gatewood Baptist Church 4919 Gatewood Rd. Garland, Texas 75043.
