David A. Avanzini, 89, of Coalgate, died Saturday at his home.

Services are to be held at 2pm on Tuesday at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Coalgate with Father Mike Cashen officiating.

Burial is to follow in Coalgate Cemetery under the direction of Jim Epperson Funeral Home.

Avanzini was born Dec 17, 1903 in Coalgate to Joseph Avanzini and Mary Zuech, was the owner with his brothers and sisters in a grocery store and was a butcher and rancher. He was married to Emma Jewell Burrow on Feb 6, 1923 in Oklahoma City.

He is survived by his wife Emma Jewell of the home, daughter Jo Ann McMasters of Sapulpa, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are to be David McMasters, Alan McMasters, Christopher McMasters, Paul McMasters, Carlos Hernandez and Roy Dan Burns. Honorary pallbearers are to be Sherman Branom, E. P. Fanning, Charles Horton, Gus D. Martin, Lee Morrison, Sam Nelson, Jim Bonino, Edgar Buchanan, Elmo Childers and Vernon Moore.

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Alzheimers.
