ASTON, Travis William funeral services were held 7 Mar 1998 in Sulphur (Murray Co.). He was 84.

Aston was born in Houkou, Mississippi on Nov 26, 1913. He is the son of John and Frankie Aston. He went to Milfay schools and lived in Bristow (Creek Co.) for most of his life and is a WWII veteran. He was married to Opal Fuller 26 Jun 1934.

He worked as a deputy sheriff for Bristow and Drumright and the Bristow PD. He was a member of the Bristow First Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother; one sister, Lucille Mercer and one brother, Harold Aston.

He is survived by two daughters, Joan Alcorn and husband, Sonny of Bristow and Gloria Marshall of Ada; son, Travis Aston, Jr., of Sand Springs; sister, Jimmie Mae Ruffner of Bristow; brother, Frank Aston of Bristow; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
