LIPPY, Jane

Mrs. Jane Lippy died at her home in Anderson Friday, Jan. 20, 1916. She with her daughter moved to Anderson from Oklahoma about a month ago. She had been in poor health and the family moved here in hopes that a change might improve her condition.
She leaves a husband, two sons, and two daughters to mourn. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Dixon at the home Friday at 2:30  p.m. and the body was laid to rest in the Anderson cemetery.

CARD OF THANKS

We desire to express our sincere thanks to the people of Anderson who so kindly assisted us in our sad bereavement.
Chas Lippy
Miss Florence Lippy
Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Parish
Ed Robinson
John Robinson

Note from submitter: Eliza Jane was the wife of Charles LIPPY; they married in 1886 in Shady Point, Oklahoma. Their daughter Florence was born in 1887, and she continued to live in LeFlore Co. until her divorce from Lucius BRADDY at the age of 50. Eliza's first three children predated this marriage: Lillie Roberson (Parish), 1880; Lee E. Roberson, 1885; John H. Roberson, 1887; all were born in the Indian Territory, around Howe. Eliza Jane actually was visiting her daughter in Missouri at the time of her death.
Lillie and Rice had moved there about 10 years earlier. The "Robinson" names in the published "card of thanks" are in error.
