October 1914

Frank Leslie DAILEY, eldest son of Charles and Pearle Dailey, born  Aug. 26, 1898 in Carroltown, MO. died October 22, 1914 at Healdton, OK. at age 16 years, one month, 27 days.
Leaves a father, mother, three  brothers and one sister, James, Horace, Charles and Edythe.
Removed from Missouri when four months olds, moved from Guthrie to Waurika seven  years ago and lived there until August 4, 1914. United with the  Christian Church about three years ago.
He was conscious until a short time before he died, said until the last  that he was not going to die and leave us. I asked him that, if he had  to leave us, would he be afraid. He said, "No, but mamma, I want you to go with me." When asked if he knew us, he called us all by name and said he knew us all. It was mamma and papa to the very last. He was a  good and kind child to us all.
Services were conducted at the Wauriki Cemetery by Rev. H.B. Ellis at 6  o'clock Friday evenings. A number of friends of the family ahd gathered  at the local Methodist church where funeral services were to have been held, but owing to bad roads , the procession arrived too late and  services were conducted at the grave.
