Death of Mrs. (LESLIE) MYERS
Mrs. Martha Myers died Saturday, April 20, 1912, at the home of her
son-in-law, Charles DAILY, in this city after an illness of
three weeks' duration.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. B. Ellis and interment took place
in Wauriki Cemetery (Jefferson Co.) Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Myers was born at Higbee, Randolph Co, MO in 1840. Her maiden name was
Leslie.
She was married to James Ross Myers March 22, 1877. One child was born of
this union, Mrs. Pearle Daily, of this city. Mrs. Myers's husband died Oct.
21, 1900, since which time she lived with her daughter.
She leaves, besides the immediate relatives here, four brothers and three
sisters, all of whom reside in Missouri.
Mrs. Myers was a member of the Christian church and as such lived a faithful
Christian life. Mr.a nd Mrs. Daily and the family have many friends
who sympathize with them in their bereavement"

Frank Leslie DAILEY, eldest son of Charles and Pearle Dailey, born
Aug. 26, 1898 in Carroltown, MO. died October 22, 1914 at Healdton,
OK. at age 16 years, one month, 27 days.
Leaves a father, mother, three brothers and one sister, James, Horace,
Charles and Edythe.
Removed from Missouri when four months olds, moved from Guthrie to Waurika
seven years ago and lived there until August 4, 1914. United with the
Christian Church about three years ago.
He was conscious until a short time before he died, said until the last
that he was not going to die and leave us. I asked him that, if he
had to leave us, would he be afraid. He said, "No, but mamma, I want
you to go with me." When asked if he knew us, he called us all by name and
said he knew us all. It was mamma and papa to the very last. He was a good
and kind child to us all.
Services were conducted at the Wauriki Cemetery by Rev. H.B. Ellis at 6
o'clock Friday evenings. A number of friends of the family ahd gathered
at the local Methodist church where funeral services were to have been
held, but owing to bad roads , the procession arrived too late and
services were conducted at the grave.
