Mrs.. PICKERING Taken By Death
Funeral services to be held at Oklahoma City Wednesday a.m. Mrs. Martha Pickering,age 86,succumbed about 6:40 Monday evening at the home of her son Harve Pickering, operator of the Depot Service Station 3 miles west of Drumright. Her death was attributed to a heart ailment. She was born 27 Dec.1852. Although a native of Alabama, Mrs. Pickering spent most of her life in Oklahoma residing in Okmulgee County 44 years. She united with the Methodist Church 73 years ago and was a member of the East Side Methodist Church, Okmulgee at her death.
Mrs. Pickering was married to John Isabell 65 years ago and after his death, became the wife of J.D. Pickering, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by two children by her first husband and six children by her second marriage.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at an Oklahoma City Cemetery with an Okmulgee Funeral home in charge.
Surviving sons and daughters are Andy & Allen Isabell, both of Oklahoma City; Harve Pickering, Drumright, Oscar Pickering, Amarillo, TX.,George Pickering, Okmulgee, Jack Pickering, Henryetta, Mrs. Audra Keller, Ft Worth,TX., and Mrs. Olivia Evans, Amarillo, TX.
She also leaves 50 grandchildren, 34 great-grand- children, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Rites Set for Sam Patrick

Longtime citizen, Sam C. PATRICK, 76, died Tuesday morning, January 27 in Drumright Memorial Hospital. He had been in poor health since May 1975.
Mr. Patrick was born December 3, 1899 in Allen, Oklahoma. He had lived in Drumright for 30 years and a member of the United Methodist Church.
Funeral services are set at 10:00 a.m. Friday January 30 at the United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Waters . Burial in the Allen Cemetery with Smith Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Oma; 2 daughters, Mrs. Don Lesco, Wyo. and Mrs. Ben Fenton of OK.; 2 sons, J.L. Patrick, TX, and L.P. Patrick of OK.; 3 brother, Jess, Allen, OK, Arthur, Calif., and Elmer of N.M.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Effie Dawson, Cleveland and Mrs. Fannie Hawkins, Painview, TX; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
