Our Purpose and Mission
Bixby Historical Society was incorporated November 9, 1983 in Bixby, Oklahoma, to provide a free public education opportunity about the history of Bixby and the surrounding area. It is maintained by volunteers and private donations to fulfill the mission to:
Bring together people interested in the history of the Bixby area.
Discover, collect and preserve material of historic value in the Bixby area.
Provide free public means for studying, appreciating & viewing history.
Participate in activity to advance public awareness about Bixby history.

Museum Hours
Bixby Historical Society is open to the public for viewing historic collections. Drop-in visitors are welcome.
- Thursday, 12:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Visitors may request tours of the museum by appointment,

Viewing special collections may require prior notice. Contact the museum office for information about available collections.
Make a visit to the Bixby Historical Society Museum part of your family reunion or club anniversary celebration.
Visits to the museum are free of charge, however tax exempt donations are accepted. Printed copy of collection material requires a small printing fee.
Donations to Bixby Historical Society help maintain the museum compound. The Society has no paid employees.
BHS Annual Bean Supper
The Annual BHS Bean Supper will be in conjunction with opening night of the 2009 Green Corn Festival, Thursday, June 25, 5:00-8:00 at the Crossroads Fellowship Hall, west of Charley Young Park in Downtown Bixby. $5.00 donations accepted. Bring your family and friends.
