Wellington is located in the southern part of Lorain County and due to its location, is only a ten minute drive to Ashland, Huron, or Medina counties.
Wellington is best known as the home of Archibald Willard, the painter of the "Spirit of '76." Willard's grave can be found at the local Greenwood Cemetery.
