This publication includes records from the First Regular Baptist Church and the Methodist Episcopal Church, both of Huntington. These two churches and the Huntington Congregational Church joined together in 1932 and became the United Church of Huntington.

The First Regular Baptist Church was organized 12 December 1833 with ten members. The church became a member of the Rocky River Baptist Association in 1834. Records of the church that were found and copied are from the early years of the church beginning in 1833 and ending in the 1850's.

Records of the Methodist Episcopal Church begin with a list of members from January 1st, 1858. Various records; membership, marriages, church officers have been copied. The last date for these records in 1897.
