Horace BarnesObituaryWellington Enterprise, 5 June 1918, page 1Died Wellington Enterprise, 12 June 1918, page 8Obituary At the outbreak of the Civil War Mr. Barnes entered the army and was a member of Co. F, Third O.V.C. and was honorably discharged on account of poor health. After the war Mr. Barnes and family made their home in Wellington township and village and lived for many years on Magyar st. Following the death of his wife, Mr. Barnes made his home with his daughter, Mrs. L.H. Dibble, where he died. For some months preceding his death he was a constant care, but bore his suffering with fortitude, and was ever midnful of the kind ministrations of loved ones. Mr. Barnes had a wide circle of friends who are pained in his death, and miss his cheery ways and happy philosophy of life. He was buried from the home of his daughter, Mrs. L.H. Dibble, June 5, 1918, with interment in Greenwood cemetery, Wellington, O. Rev. O.J. Coby officiated. Card of Thanks. |
