"Member of Armed Forces, Legionnaires Assist With Services
One of the largest funerals ever held in Lebanon was conducted Saturday
afternoon at the Oswald Funeral Home when military rites were held
for S. Sgt James "Barney" Eltzroth, 24, who was killed
in a plane crash near Alamogordo, N. M., on April 18.
A Firing squad from Patterson Field near Dayton attended the rites.
Following the services at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Paul
D. Chiles, pastor of the Methodist church, an escort of members
of the Armed forces and American Legion members marched to the LEbanon
Cemetery for grave services.
Pallbearers included Lt. Zane M. Brant, Dan Brant, Richard Brant,
Robert Luti, Don Saunders and Robert Russell."
