Bobby was a 1991 graduate of Lebanon High School where he was in Jr. ROTC and Warren County Career Center where he studied Chef Management and Diesel Mechanics. SFC Estle had served 2 tours of duty in Iraq and 2 in Afghanistan during his 18 year career in the U.S. Army. . . ."

      "Staff. Sgt. Travis Griffin's parents fielded calls Friday, April 4, from family and friends expressing their condolences, a day after Griffin died in a roadside bomb explosion in Iraq.
      Christine and Donald Herwick III of Clearcreek Twp. were still trying to determine exactly how Griffin, 28, died, 15 days from the end of his fourth term of active duty in Iraq.
      "His Humvee was hit by an I.E.E.," said Herwick, Griffin's stepfather and a retired veteran of almost 24 years of military service, said, "all we know is he didn't make it back to the hospital." . . ."

    • Flags were flown at half-staff in Warren County on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in honor of Army Staff Sgt Jeremiah Wayne Johnson, 39, of Springboro, Ohio. He died Oct. 4, 2017 while serving during U.S. Africa Command Operations in southwest Niger. He was one of three US soldiers killed as a result of hostile fire while on a joint reconnaissance patrol with Nigerian forces. He was assigned to 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Johnson, served as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Specialist, also known as a 74D. He enlisted in the Army October 2007. He was from Springboro, Ohio. See Military Times, "Honor the Fallen" at
