    "Clarence Wyly Turner attended school at the National Normal University and graduated in the Scientific Class of 1891. He frequently attended the General Reunions, the last time in 1936 when the Class of 1891 held their 45th anniversary. Mrs. Emma Bangham, of Lebanon was a classmate.
    Mr. Turner was a graduate of National Normal University and had as classmates Dr. J. V. Mulford, Miss Eunice Mull, J. S. Morris and others who remember him well. He was a regular visitor here for the annual reunions."

    "George W. Beachler was reared on the homestead in Jackson township, was educated in the common schools, and afterward in the National Normal university, at Lebanon, Ohio, in which he prepared for teaching. Beginning life for himself as a teacher, he followed that vocation for eight years. In the spring of 1864 he located in Miamisburg and established himself in the grocery business, at which he continued seventeen years, and at the end of this time engaged in the sewing machine, gun and fishing-tackle business, in which he has ever since been successfully employed. In 1892 he added a bicycle department to his store, and in this branch has built up an extensive trade."

    1888 Graduated from the Norton Normal + Scientific Academy in Wilton Iowa
    1889 Graduated from the National Normal University at Lebanon Ohio
    She always received the highest possible grades whatever she studied.
    1887-1890 She passed exams for teaching in Iowa and Durango, Colorado
    1890 - 1893 She taught math in the Durango High school at Durango, Colorado. She received a lovely letter from the students telling her how they appreciated her as a teacher and a friend.
    1893-1894 She taught in the Wilton public schools.
    1894 She applied for a teaching position in the English-German College at Wilton Iowa and began teaching in August 1894
    1898 She attended the University of Chicago
    1899 December 26 she was married to John H Harms at her home in Wilton Iowa.

    She had 6 children .

    Lillian Harms b 15 October 1904 – d 17 August 2004

    And a child named Ester that died at age 9 months.
    1909 she spent a month in a tuberculosis sanatorium at Montclair Colorado.
    1952 1 June Died of old age at her home in Loveland Colorada

  • Obituary in the 4 May 1893 Western Star says,
    "She attended Shepardson College at Granville one term and then entered the National Normal University at Lebanon as pupil and teacher. Graduating in the classical course in 1874, with the highest honors she was made the valedictorian of her class. She was immediately elected a regular member of the faculty of that school and taught there most acceptably for two years. She resigned at the end of the second year because of failing health."
