OSCAR T. LUDLUM
Oscar T. Ludlum was born near Morrow, Ohio, Dec. 29,
1840; died Jan. 18, 1921, aged 80 years and 20 days.
Left an orphan at the age of four years, his childhood was spent among
relatives, but to the end of his life he always felt the loss of a mother's
love and care.
He was married Feb. 20, 1865 to Martha Ireland and for
almost 56 years they have traveled life's road together always living
in this same place. To this union were born four children, two of whom
died in childhood, the others: Edgar A. Ludlum and Mrs.
E. C. Coddington, with four grandchildren, are left to give what
comfort and consolation they can to grandma.
It is said by one who has known him through the prime and decline of his
years, no funeral sermon need be preached that his life has been guided
by that law which is "Do unto others as you would have others do
unto you," and a man who has thus lived has fulfilled his obligation
to his Creator and has made his life a sermon.
Card of Thanks
To the neighbors and friends we desire to express thanks for the many
acts of kindness and sympathy shown at the time of our bereavement.
