JOSIE W. GRAHAM RITES SATURDAY
Waynesville Native Dies in Dayton Wednesday After Illness

WAYNESVILLE – Funeral services for Mrs. Josie Whitaker Graham, aged 59, who died at her home in Dayton last Wednesday evening, were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Stubbs Funeral Home in Waynesville. Interment was made in Miami Cemetery.
Born in Waynesville, she spent most of her life here, moving to Dayton following the death of her husband, Will Graham, in 1940.
She is survived by her father, Daniel Surface, Waynesville; two sons, Harold of Lytle and Marion, of Dayton; three sisters, Mrs. C. M. Brown of Dayton; Mrs. A. B. Cleaver of Dayton, and Mrs. Charles Ilett of Indianapolis, Ind., and three grandchildren.

W. H. Graham

Died --- Mrs. Hugh Edwards is in Franklin, O., where she was called by
the death of her father, W. H. Graham, sheriff of Warren County, who
passed away Saturday. Newspaper readers will remember the desperate
fight he had with bank robbers two years ago. In that battle he killed
one of the robbers and was himself badly wounded which wounds were
contributary to his death.

WAYNE RESIDENT DIES WEDNESDAY
William S. Graham to Be Buried Saturday Afternoon

William S. Graham, 79, died at his home in Waynesville Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 of a heart ailment from which he had been suffering for the past year. MR. Graham was a native of Waynesville and had lived his entire life there. He was a retired farmer and contractor. He was a member of the Episcopal Church and an honorary member of the Jr. O. U. A. M. Lodge.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Stubbs Funeral Home in Waynesville with the Rev. Lloyd Hackwell officiating at the services. Burial will be made in the Miami Cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Josie Graham, one daughter, Mrs. Adra Lewis, of Miamisburg, and one son, Morris S. Graham, of New Lebanon. One sister, Mrs. Margaret Rogers, of Waynesville, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
