In the Name of God Amen this fourteenth day of March 1747. I Robert Rigg of ye Township of Uswchland in ye County of Chester being very sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God, for the same and calling to mind of the uncertainty of life do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form as follows. First I recommend my soul to Almighty God, my body to be commited to ye Earth and all my worldly substances I give and bequeath in the following manner.
Item: I give and bequeath to Eliza my beloved wife one third part of all my personal Estate if any there be remaining after my debts and funral charges are paid, as also all ye yearly profits arising out of my real estate for her own supoart and for the bring up of my three youngest children to witt Richd, Ann and Mary untill such time as my son Richard shall arrive to age and after until such time as he shall marrey a wife and then my said wife Eliza to have her choice rooms of or belonging to my dwelling house with a sufficient firewood found her halld to ye door by my said Son. Together with ye sum of six pounds to be paid her by my sd son During her natural Life in case she do not marrey but in case she should so do then immediately to depart of ye premises laving them to my said son Richd reducing the six pounds a year to four pounds.
Item: I give to my son Clement the sum of one schilling to be paid him in one year after my decease.
Item: I give unto my Doughter Sarah ye sum of five pounds to be paid her in two years after my decease by my Exctrs hereafter named
Item: I give unto my Doughter Ann ye sum of ten pounds to be paid her by my Exctrs when she arrives to the age of eighteen years.
Item I give unto my Doughter Mary ye sum of ten pounds to be paid by my Exctrs when she arrives to the age of eighteen years together with ye interest arising on said ten pounds for six years.
Item I give unto my grandson Robt. Rigg and his heirs ye sum of three pounds to be paid to his father for his use in seven years after my deceas, by my Exctrs and to be and to be let on loan till he arrives to ye age of twenty one years
Item[?] I give and Bequeath unto my son Richd Rigg all and _?_y [every?] my lands and premises to be by him possed and enjoyed after he shall arrive to age and marrey a wife and after to ye heirs lawfully begotten of his body and their heirs and assigns forever he or they paying and perfoarming to my said wife Elizabeth as above orderd. But if in case it should happen my said son Richd should die

Without lawfull issue __? [3 short words perhaps ] then? all my __?__, lands and premeses to desend to my son Clemt Rigg his heirs and assigns for [--?_ch] __e they paying to my said wife ye aforesaid sums and agreements[?] and Dischargings[?] to pay unto her ye sum of ten pounds a_?_ also ten pounds unto each of my three daughters and to ye lawfull heirs of their Bodys and I do forder [exactly as written but meaning further?] order on behalf of my youngest doughter[s?] that they shall be bred up under ye immediate care of my said wife during the time of her widowhood. And after to be continued with her or otherways to be hired[?] to service at ye discretion[?] of my other Exctr or Exctrs. But in as much as there is a certain mortgage made on ye premises by me and my wife to Mrs. Debroa Norris wch Mortgage remains yet unpaid __?__ or if she or any person deriving any authoraty from or Under her should demand the said mortgage money before my said wife or son Richd could procure or provide same then and not until then I authorize and fully impows [empower?] my said Exct and the porwers of them to sell and despous of my said lands and premises and to make such conveyances as is required by by law in such cases. And if sale be so made then my forder Will and Desire is that my wife Eliza shall have one full third part of all ye said money after my said debts be paid and ye other two thirds equally to be devided between my said son Richd and my two daughters Ann and Mary and to be left on loane till they arrive to age. And I do constatute and appoint Eliza my wife, my son Clent Rigg and my Brother in Law Richd Richison my soal Extr of this my last Will and Testament Ratifieing this and no other to be my said last Will . In Witness I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Chester May 5th 1748 Then personally appeared Peter Aston and Eliza Aston two of the witnesses to the above will who on their solemn affirmations did declare that they were present and saw the testator above named sign seal publish pronounce and declare ye above writing to be his last Will and Testament and that at ye doing thereof he was of sound mind and memory to ye best of their understanding.

Will of Clement Rigg of Pike Run Township Washington County and state of Pennsylvania, being in a weak state of body but of sound mind and memory and remembering the uncertainty of this life do make and constitute this my last Will and Testament.

1st It is my desire that my just debts and funeral Charges be punctually [_?_]and first of all paid

2nd When the time for which my son Jesse has taken my plantation is expired the Sarah my wife shall have the grey house, a cow and three sheep together with her bed and bedding and the profits of my plantation during her natural life

3rd after the decease of my wife it is my will the plantation be sold in the most advantageous manner and that the price thereof be divided as follows

4th To my ten eldest children Viz: Robert, George, John, Ezekial, Rachel, Eleazer, Keziah,Hosea, Elisha and Abijah two dollars each to be paid to them, their heirs or assigns

5th To my two daughters Priscilla and Miriam one hundred sixty dollars each paid to them their heirs or assigns

6th The remainder to be equally divided among my five other children Viz: Ephraim, Sarah, Clement, Abigail & Jess to be paid to them their heirs or assigns

7th If there be any remainder of my personal estate after paying my debts as above directed it is my Will that Sarah my wife shall have the same for her own use.

8th ___ I make and constitute Sarah my wife together with my friend Joseph John to be the Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have her unto set my hand and seal this 7th day of the 4th month one thousand eight hundred and five 1805 ________________________________ Clement Rigg

Know all men by these presents that we Jane Schnorf, Keziah Null, Sarah Rigg
and Mary Dyche a part of the heirs at law of the estate of Eleazar Rigg late of
Clear Creek Township, Warren County, Ohio, deceased do constitute and appoint
Eleazar Rigg Junr of the same place our attorney for us and in our names to
bargain sell and convey in fee simple by deed of general warranty for such price
upon such terms of credit and to such person or persons as he shall think fit our
respective shares of the whole or any part of the following premises situate in Warren County
State of Ohio, and in the third township and fourth range between the Miami Rivers
and bounded and described as follows, Beginning at the Northwest corner of section
number three and running therewith the north line of said section about one
hundred and twelve poles to a corner to John Sheets land. thence with the west boun
dary line of said Sheets land South one hundred poles thence west on a parallel
with the north line one hundred and twelve poles thence north one hundred poles
to the place of beginning Containing seventy acres (it being the balance of a tract of land
containing one hundred acres Conveyed by deed of General Warranty by William
Sweney
and wife to said Eleazar Rigg Decd which deed bears date the seventeenth
day of November one Thousand Eight Hundred and fourteen) hereby satisfying and
Confirming all such bargains receipts for purchase money agreements and deeds
as shall be made executed or acknowledged in the premises by our said attorney
the same as if we were personly present and did the Same. In testimony whereof
we have hereunto set our hands and seals this twenty seventh day of January
in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and forty two

The State of Ohio Warren County
Before me Charles P. Rufsum A Justice of the peace in and for said County personly
appeared the within named Jane Schnorf, Kesiah Null, Sarah Rigg, and Mary Dyche
and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within power of Attorney to be their
Voluntary Act and deed. This twenty Seventh day of January one Thousand
Eight Hundred and forty two.
