Ex Parte George Hardy, September Term 1832, Application for Naturalization
Warren County to wit
George Hardy an applicant for Naturalization in his own person is open court being duly sworn declares and says that he will support the Constitution of the United States and that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince potentate State or Sovereignty whatever and particularly to his majesty William the Fourth King of Great Britain Ireland %c to whom he was heretofore a subject and further saith not.

The State of Ohio, Warren County
On this day personally appeared in open court Wyllys Pierson & J. K. Wilds who being duly sworn depose and say that they are well acquainted with the above named George Hardy and applicant for naturalization, that he has resided within the United States for more than five years past and within the County of Warren within this State for more that on year previous to this time & said affiants further say on their oath aforesaid that during all the time the said George has resided in the United States as aforesaid he has behaved as a man of good moral character attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States & well deposed to the good order & happiness of the same & further affiants say not.
