James Boyd

State of Ohio, Warren County
Personally appeared in open Court James Boyd and applicant for naturalization who on being duly sworn according to law deposeth and saith that he is twenty eight years of age that he was born in the County of Cavin in Ireland from whence in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eleven being then a minor under the age of twenty one years to wit of the age of Eleven years; he emigrated with his father’s family to the United States of American that he now resided in the United States and has continued so to do from the time he emigrated aforesaid until the present time; that he at present resides in the county of Warren in the State of Ohio and has resided there for upward of a year past and the said James saith that during all the time he has resided in the United Stated he has been attached to the principles of the constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same; and that it has been his bonafide intention for at least three years past to become a citizen of the United States and he further saith upon his solemn oath that he will support the Constitution of the United States, and that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, State or sovereignty whatever and particularly he renounces all allegiance and fidelity to his Majesty the King of Great Britani and Ireland to whom he was heretofor a subject and the said James also saith that he has never borne any hereditary title or been of any of the orders of nobility in any Country whatever

State of Ohio, Warren County ss
Personally appeared in open Court William Wood who being duly sworn as the law directs deposeth and saith that he is acquainted with James Boyd the within applicant, that said Boyd has resided within the limits of the United States for at least the term of five years past, and that he has resided in the County of Warren and State of Ohio for upwards of a year past that he believes said Boyd has behaved as a man of good moral character attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same and further the deponent saith not.
