Thomas J. Bloss son of Adam & Mary A. Bloss a member of Co. F 35th Reg. O.V.I. was killed at the battle of Chicamauga [sic] Sept. 20, 1863 aged 25 years 7 months & 14 days Official Roster of the Soldiers of the State of Ohio in the War of the Rebellion, 1861-1866. Vol. III (Cincinnati: Ohio Valley Pub. & Mfg. Co., 1886) page 772 indicates that he was buried at Chattanooga, Tenn. It appears that he is listed in the US Dept of Veteran Affairs, Nationwide Gravesite Locator for the Chattanooga National Cemetery in Section P Site 6173 as Jefferson Blass with a date of death of 20 Feb 1864 |
