Location: Blanchester IOOF Cemetery, Clinton County, Ohio Carol Conner Donovan writes, "Tombstones of Jimmet Conner (1839-1910) and his wife Martha Ridge-Conner (1839-1913). This Jimmet was the son of Jimmet Conner (1805-1881) and Grandson of Jimmet Conner (1776-1861). This photo [on right] was taken by MelindaHockman-Callahan, Great, Great, Grandaughter of Andrew Conner (1827-1891) brother of this Jimmet (b. 1839). This proves conclusely that the tombstone at Ft. Ancient Old Bethel Burial Grounds marked Jimmet & Martha is definitely the stone for their first born daughter "Little Lizzie Belle" who died in 1863 and was buried next to her Grandparents, Jimmet (1776-1861) & Elizabeth Price-Conner (1775-1848) photo on left - IOOF Cem Blanchester, OH Clinton Co. Foto of tombstone of Jimmet Conner (1839-1910) and wife Martha Ridge Conner ((1839-1913). I think you already have this. This Jimmet was a brother to my Great Grandfather, John Conner (1829-1908). He was Mayor of Midland City (near Athens). He died in the Athens State Hospital. " |

Location: Middletown Cemetery, Butler County, Ohio Carol Conner Donovan writes, "Tombstone for Robert Conner b. 16 Apr 1842, Oregonia, OH; d. 1 Jul 1914, Middletown, OH. Robert was a brother to my Great Grandfather, John Conner (1829-1908) and son of Jimmet Conner (1805-1881). Robert was in Co. A, 35th OVI, Civil War. He was a POW in Libby Prison, Richmond, VA. from Sep 1863 until Aug 1864. He suffered life-long lung damage & received permanent disability pension. His wife's gravestone: Hannah Rogers-Conner; b. 3 Jun 1843 Waynesville, OH; d. 10 Jun 1925 Middletown, OH. Hannah raised 8 children on Robert's paltry Pension of $20.00. It appears that the family plot at Middletown Cemetery was at Section 28, Lemon Twp, where Robert, Hannah, John "Peg" & Frank have confirmed burial sites. Ida May and James J. "Jimmet" are also buried in Middletown Cemetery but their graves are not listed as being in the Conner Plot of Section 28." |

Location: Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery, Seattle, Washington Carol Conner Donovan writes, "Tombstones of Austin Conner (1904-1978) & his wife Juanita Allen-Conner (1905-1983) and their daughter MaryLee Conner-Mercado (1932-2001). All three are buried in Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery, Seattle, WA. Austin was brother to my father, Nelson Conner (1907-1973) s/o Owen Conner (1874-1949) and Grandson of John Conner (1829-1908) Austin was called "Brother" by everyone. I did not know him well. My father said he & Juanita were quite frugal to the point of being stingy. That's all I know about him. MaryLee was a sweet, shy & quiet girl who really upset the Conner clan by marrying Ed Mercado, a man of Aleut-French heritage." |
