Samuel Manning had another daughter Martha (Manning) Edwards, who lived in Warren County but died in Xenia OH(Greene Cnty), at a young age. Martha married James Edwards Jr. who arrived in WC in 1807, and brought his father to WC in 1809 to start one of the 1st businesses at the Black Horse Tavern. Martha's lineage has been documented in Warren County 1st Families #112. It should also be noted that Samuel Manning was at Valley Forge with his brother Thomas Manning from Middlesex County NJ. Although he was from NJ, he enlisted in the Continental Army in White Plains NY, and ended up in the 2nd Div. under BG "Mad" Anthony Wayne. Documentation submitted to DVF (Desc. of Valley Forge YR 2009) and the SAR Cincinnati Chapter. (Philly-Monmouth Campaigns) Samuel Manning was the founder of the Historic City of Lebanon Ohio.
