PETER B. HATFIELD, farmer: P.O. Lebanon; was born in Turtle Creek Township Nov 3, 1809. His father, John Hatfield a native of New Jersey, and his mother, Elizabeth Banta, a native of Kentucky, both emigrated to Warren County about 1800, and were soon afterward married. Our subject received such education as was attainable at the time of his youth. And when young commenced working on the farm. He was married, Nov. 29, 1832. to Miss Mary Perrine, of Kentucky, by whom he has had six children, viz.: Elizabeth, Daniel (deceased), John (deceased), Milton J., Louis P. and William C. Milton and Lewis are now married. Louis P. was a soldier in the late war, having enlisted in 1862 in the Ohio Heavy Artillery service, and remained until the close of the war. Mr. Hatfield is a Democrat in politics. He belongs to the class of substantial farmers. He owns 168 acres of good land, and this he cultivate in the most successful manner.
